Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is ideally located in beautiful Bantry, close to the sea and other great spots in West Cork. The rooms are spacious, with traditional furnishings and convenient tea/coffee facilities, retaining a charming old-world feel. The service was warm and attentive, adding to the calm atmosphere across the three lounge areas. The dining experience offered good options, with standout dishes like duck parcels and Macroom buffalo mozzarella. However, the breakfast wasn't as impressive and noise from pumps could be heard at night. The location is superb for exploring West Cork, though the price is higher.
Staying at this hotel was like stepping back in time in a beautiful park setting. The antique furniture in the rooms added a touch of elegance, but the steep steps can be a challenge for guests with mobility issues. The service was truly exceptional, with long-standing staff going above and beyond to assist, even with specific dietary requirements. The dining experience was top-notch with delicious food and a lovely setting, although the buffet style may not suit everyone's taste. The location, while charming, may be a bit misleading in its naming, being covered in seaweed which may not appeal to all guests.
